Eva Garea is the Senior Technician for International Relations at the Universidade de Vigo since 2000 and EU projects technical coordinator. Her expertise includes the management of more than 80 EU funded projects.

In her daily work as project manager, she is in charge of funding search, writing project proposals, worldwide networking and building quality sustainable partnerships, implementing the approved EU projects, contracting and following up of activities. Liaison with the EU and funding organizations on behalf of consortia, in charge of the elaboration of technical and financial reports, organizing international meetings or seminars and capacity building and dissemination actions, providing training and consultancy for partners, quality control missions and following of auditing processes, working with local stakeholders and associated members and offering technical support to university professors.

Skills regarding the management of the following EU programs: Lifelong Learning, Erasmus, Erasmus Mundus, Jean Monnet, Tempus, Leonardo, Bilateral Cooperation: EU-Canada, EU-ICI ECP: Australia, Asia-Link, Alfa, Alban, Edulink, Knowledge Alliances, Erasmus + KA1: international credit mobility, KA2: strategic partnerships and capacity building, KA3, Erasmus + Sports. At national level, projects financed by the AECID (Spanish Agency for international Cooperation) under the calls: PCI, CAP, Thematic Networks, and the cooperation for development calls published by the Xunta de Galicia. She is in charge of the technical secretariat of UVigo Jean Monnet actions: JEA Centre of Excellence, Ad Personam Chair, 2 Chairs, 14 Jean Monnet Modules and the Learning EU at School and European Culture projects. Technical general coordinator of EU Erasmus Mundus actions at the UVigo: EMundus Green IT, TECH WB, E-GOV-TN, Euroinkanet, Dream, Angle, ACP II and Tempus projects (Bihtek with the Western Balkans, Momate, Go-Univ with the North of Africa).

Student & teacher &administrative staff international mobility expert. Technical coordinator of the mobility programs: ISEP with the USA since 2000, GE4 for Engineering Schools since 2012, Science without borders with Brazil since 2012, the programme at the UVigo of the Spanish International Cooperation Agency (AECID) for the admission of foreign students at Spanish universities since 2002 till 2012, Vulcanus with Japan since 2006, the Stella Staff Mobility Programme within the Compostela Group of Universities since 2002. Responsible at the UVigo for the mobility of incoming foreign students. Responsible for the review of international bilateral or multilateral agreements and proposals. Organizer and speaker of 6 Staff Training Weeks and 3 training events at the UVigo about EU funding and EU projects. Since 2006 till 2015, Teacher of the Master’s Degree in European Community Policies and Territorial Cooperation.

Active member in the following networks: Compostela Group of Universities, ISEP, GE4 y Nice Network. PhD program in Translation (2000: “Diploma de Suficiencia Investigadora”). Degree in Translation and Interpreting (English, French, Optional German). Since 1999, sworn translator of English language and professional activity as a translator and interpreter in court and for companies.
